Championing a Thriving Catholic Community in Los Angeles
The Dan Murphy Foundation was established in 1957 by Bernardine Murphy Donohue to carry on the philanthropic works of her father, Dan Murphy
As a young businessman, Dan Murphy was concerned about, and sensitive to, the needs of others. Mr. Murphy devoted much of his time and fortune to supporting religious, educational, charitable, and scientific institutions in Southern California.
The Dan Murphy Foundation is dedicated to furthering the generous legacy of Dan and Bernardine by meeting the needs of Catholic high schools serving inner city youth, and supporting faith formation and a vibrant religious life for the Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Los Angeles.
